Continental Pools provides unique swimming pool management programs designed specifically for your community or organization. Supervisors and pool managers maintain a high profile to oversee and monitor each property.
Safety is our first priority. At Continental Pools, all lifeguards must renew their certification each year (as specified by Ellis & Associates), exceeding the Red Cross three year certification requirement followed by most pool management companies.
Required in-service training classes include first aid and CPR. Skills are constantly reviewed and reinforced with weekly lifeguard performance evaluations conducted by internal as well as 3rd party safety auditors.
All lifeguards are trained in the 10/20 Protection Rule, proven to be today's most effective pool-side safety precaution. On duty lifeguards must actively scan their zone of protection and maintain a "rescue ready" posture at all times. Lifeguards must be able to recognize a swimmer in distress within 10 seconds and then provide aid within 20 seconds.
