The filtration and sanitation systems are designed to keep your pool water clean and clear. A filter is a device designed for straining the impurities or suspended material from the water that flows through it. A sanitizer is a chemical compound added to the water that oxidizes or kills organic material and bacteria to provide a clean water environment. The water is pushed through the pipes to and from the pool by a water pump, which is driven by an electric motor. This is the simple explanation.
