Thank you for taking the time to learn more about employment opportunities at Continental Pools.
We have been providing quality pool management and lifeguard job opportunities for decades. Because we service so many pools throughout the Eastern United States, Continental Pools is capable of providing an enriching experience where our smart young professionals can interact with people from many cultures and demographics. From the cities to the suburbs, employees are placed in positions of responsibility, in which they can provide a high level of service for guests that deserve a safe place to swim. Our lifeguards serve as role models for the youth in our communities and pride themselves in making a difference.
Continental Pools employees undergo lifeguarding certification, training and recertification each year to stress the importance of safety and accident prevention. You will be trained in all aspects of water rescue, first aid, and emergency management. In order to ensure well-educated and well-rounded lifeguards at our facilities, you’ll also receive training in basic leadership skills. We are constantly reinforcing these skills throughout the summer with in-service training. Aquatic emergencies do not happen every day but, in the event that one does occur at your facility, we want you to be completely prepared for any situation. Keeping your skills sharp could change someone’s life forever.
All Continental Pools employees, at every level, focus on customer service. Communication and problem resolution is a key focus, and everyone is involved in the process. This creates a sense of unity and team spirit that is clearly visible whenever customers need us. These are just a few of the things that make Continental Pools a special place to work. If you would like to bring your talents to our team, please contact us with your information in our lifeguard portal.

Our lifeguard training services are offered to candidates who are interested in working for Continental Pools. Each candidate who successfully completes the course will receive an Ellis and Associates Lifeguard license along with the basic supplies that are necessary and required of all Continental Pools lifeguards. These supplies will include a whistle with lanyard, CPR mask, gloves and lifeguard hip pack. Lifeguards will also receive a lifeguarding training textbook that they may reference at any time. We require our guard staff to be in uniform while on duty so the purchase of a uniform will be necessary. Contact our recruiting team to receive more information about the related fees.
Realistic scenarios and simulations make the difference in our program. We believe that lifeguard rescue skills are best learned in the water under the watchful eye of our in-house E&A instructors. Students work with mannequins to gain an understanding of the dynamics of the human body. However, once students gain competency in basic skills, they apply them to real-life simulated incidents. We teach based on realistic scenarios with real people through role-playing.
Our curriculum and philosophy stress that “textbook-perfect” rescues seldom occur in real life. What is more important is for lifeguards to problem-solve to overcome adverse situations that might arise during a rescue effort. We are the only company in the Mid Atlantic Area that requires every lifeguard to complete our Lifeguard Training Program each and every year. Our program provides training that exceeds conventional standards.
